The Garrett's
Who are Dave and Linda Garrett, of Colville, Washington?
They have owned livestock for 38 successful years breeding, raising and showing champion horses all over the United States and Canada. They owned the Internationally known Appaloosa stallion, Double Bid, for 25 years. After the death of "Bid" in 1998, Linda needed a new love to help fill the empty void in her heart. They have always had at least one goat. At one point they raised a small herd of pygmy goats. After viewing Pygoras at a county fair it wasn't long before they purchased their first PBA registered Pygora doe.

All of the Garrett Ranch Pygora goats have been hand selected and came from top breeding farms. They are healthy and beautiful goats with outstanding conformation and produce excellent fiber. They also have the disposition to be called "True Stress Busters™".

With the early purchase of "Merlin", they were ready for their first breeding season. Just one look at this Pygora buck will confirm his quality fiber. Merlin is a big boy with near perfect conformation and the best temperament. He has a very impressive show record and champion filled pedigree. "Merlin’s" first kids arrived with not one disappointment. Every new kid brings joy into the lives of Dave and Linda Garrett.

The "Rainbow Bridge" has made a very special impression on us and we have shared it with many friends. Now we would like to share it with our visitors. If you have ever lost a pet you will feel a certain comfort in these words. Our first Pygora is waiting for us at the "Rainbow Bridge".

The Rainbow Bridge

Dedicated In Loving Memory Of Our Garrett Ranch Friends.

Just this side of heaven is a place called "Rainbow Bridge". When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to "Rainbow Bridge". There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals that have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when suddenly stops and looks into the distance. With bright eyes intent and with eager body beginning to quiver your precious friend begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, on legs running faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross "Rainbow Bridge" together....

Auther unknown-but much appreciated. The story comes from ancient Norse Tradition
